I finally watched the Magical Mystery Tour BluRay Sunday night and I was really amazed at how great it looked. The colors were so vivid! I didn't really care for "I am the Walrus" when I watched this a few years ago but seeing those gorgeous outfits in their full glory was far out! Watching for the second time, with Paul's commentary was fun and helped me understand it a lot better. All the other features were great too. Last night was going to be EP night but I only got through one side because side two had a big scratch all the way around it. I'd forgotten how disappointing a skipping record could be! So the whole thing is on its way back to Amazon.

That's too bad. I know you waited a long time for it's arrival! Patience, I guess!

Kelley I hope your replacement EP plays as well as the one I got.  It's worth the wait to hear this.

Amazon is good at making everything right, Kelley.

Yes, the EPs are 45 RPM and so their fidelity surpasses the 33 1/3 RPM vinyl LPs.

Heartbreak Hotel

Heartbreak Hotel Starring David Keith, Tuesday Weld, And Charlie Schlatter

It starred David Keith, Tuesday Weld, and Charlie Schlatter and was directed by Chris Columbus.  Cute movie about a boy who kidnaps Elvis to bring a bit of joy to his troubled mom who is a lifelong fan of The King.  It takes place in 1972 and Elvis is persuaded to revert back to his young savage self.

David Keith does a great Elvis at 51:05

For Tuesday Weld, it was her chance to play opposite The King once again, even if it was David Keith in this 1988 motion picture.  He did a very realistic portrayal of Elvis in the film.

Saw Cabin In The Woods tonight. Strange movie but I liked it. Starts out as a standard college kids going to their friends cabin for the weekend, you think! Then behind the scenes there's a government control room watching, controlling the events of the weekend, you think. Then there's a zombie attack, a cult subplot... Lots of blood and gore, etc... different ending for sure!

I love zombie attacks!  Sounds like my kind of movie!

Dave, in that movie how long did it take people to learn how to kill a zombie?

I think they got only one! I don't want to spoil it for you because one of my favorite things about it is it's unpredictability as far as the plot goes! Very different! A touch of dark comedy thrown in too.

So how does one kill a zombie? You know, just in case we get invaded by them at the library. We already have the ghost.

You have to do a head shot...always!

Have you seen or heard the ghost recently?!

There are several good instructional videos on the subject, Kelley.  Here's one...
