I thought it was a mix of “oompah oompah stick it up your jumper” and “Everybody’s got one”.

That’s what I’ve consistently read is being chanted. But it’s all a muddle and hard to really hear.

Yes, Moog, it's a muddle alright!  Sometimes I hear what David Peel & the lower east side heard...

Sounds like that to me as well

Has anyone heard The Rutles 'Piggie in the middle'? A send up of Walrus but a good one.

Their song 'Joe Public' is also a good Revolver era song.

There's a backwards clue at 1:11

Playing Piggy In The Middle backwards reveals the clue at 1:45...

You're not wearing your Bose QC35 headphones, Kev.  :)

Maybe the MMT special edition remix will give use the isolated chanting tracks.

No matter a remix or a new pair of headphones, we're never gonna clearly hear those vocals.  I've listened multiple times and IMO they were deliberately distorted.  Unless you can find a way to un-distort them, forget it.  Well, maybe someday as technology evolves, it'll be possible.

Anyway, listening to the chanting over and over was making my ears hurt even with the volume turned down.

It's just a cacophony of sound I suppose you could persuade yourself that they're saying anything really.... I think in its day walrus was a complete Revolution of a recording, I can't think of anyone who did anything like this before.
