Right.  They enlisted in The Marine Corps in 1961.  When they returned to performing in 1963, things were changing.  And then came The British Invasion.

But look at them at their Royal Albert Hall Reunion concert in 1983...

I remember now. I was looking for George's version of this for the song game...

Everly Brothers - Let It Be Me (Very nice quality / HD video) (Live, 1964)

They had screamers in their audiences too.  ;D

I noticed the screamers too In My Life, Rock n' Roll was so young in the 1950's!

I've read stories about their well publicized fights while performing live on stage. I'm going to buy "The Reunion Concert" DVD before I log off the computer.

This really is a beautiful song, one I had forgotten about until I watched "Living in the Material World".

Let It Be Me

Je t'appartiens was scored and recorded by Gilbert Bécaud in 1955.  Pierre Delanoë wrote the lyrics...

Hi Hello Goodbye! Guess what? I bought THE EVERLY BROTHERS REUNION CONCERT 1983 last night. There are two DVD versions, the newer and shorter version is widely available today, the shorter version contains 18 out of 20 songs that THE EVERLY BROTHERS performed that night at the Royal Albert Hall in 1983 for HBO. The old and full version, the one I purchased, contains all the 20 songs that were performed that night. I can't wait to get it, Take care.

You'll really enjoy that DVD, BF.  The YouTube videos I posted do not come close to what you'll see and hear on your entertainment system.  As you said, The Everlys were in the zone at that concert.  It was an emotion-packed event which you'll clearly see on your DVD.

I should be getting my DVD sometime next week, I'm so excited that I can't wait. That was a magical night, I've heard so much about this concert through the years that I'm surprised that I never owned it. Thanks to you Hello Goodbye, now I do. Take care.

There's something special about brother and sister groups.  It's called "Sibling Harmony."

The Lennon Sisters had that gift too...

The boxing announcer Jimmy Lennon, Jr. is related to THE LENNON SISTERS! Believe it or not, I even had a crush on some of the women on THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW! Here's one of them.
