Looks like the Jann Wenner tapes from early 70s.

Yep, these are the Rolling Stone interviews that Jann Wenner's book "Lennon Remembers" was based upon.

I bet there will be a lot of 'bleeping' in those interviews!

It was actually uncensored!

I listened to this quite a while ago, seemed very interesting. He spoke of his reasons for loving America and Yoko and his children, so on.

The Wenner Tapes available for iPod

The Wenner Tapes- the interview that Rolling Stone founder, Jann Wenner did with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, in December, 1970 is available for those of you who own iPods. John and Yoko were miked for this so you can hear them clearly. Wenner was not. SO what they did was they enhanced on the audio on Wenner's voice because it sounds like he is talking from another side of the room. On the iTunes, click on Music Store. Then, enter John Lennon. Click where it says Podcasts. It is called John Lennon:The Rolling Stone Interview. The interview is broken down into 5 parts, 5 downloads that is. The podcasts downloads are free. This seems to be the entire interview timing around 3hrs 30mins.
Portions of this interview were broadcast last December on BBC Radio 4.
