Hate
« on: January 13, 2007, 07:55:58 PM »

http://www.thebeatleshate.com/index_eng.html

I'm downloading it track by track, just listened to the first one. It's brilliantly eerie.

Maybe it's my cynical nature, my disdain for " the war, for the USA, and for everyone that supports this stupid act.", and the fact that I interpret many Beatles songs that are often seen as happy as being dark (like "She Loves You" or "I Saw Her Standing There"), but between this and 'Love' (which I've not yet heard) I think I'll like it. I have yet to hear "Love" or this, but I'm guessing I'll personally like this better.

The more I listen to this, I like it a bit less. They take a lot of liberties, it's a nice thought but, I've been listening to it for almost an hour and a half now and it's a little depressing.

Sorry, I didn't know this had already been posted. Want me to just move the conversation there to avoid taking up bandwidth?

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, but I didn't wanna create a new one if there already was one.

I downloaded it quite a while ago, and I thought it was great. I actually heard it before I heard Love. I also like what they did with the cover artwork, comparing it to Love's. It's pretty cool. One thing distinguishes it even more from Love is that the album is in a completely different concept compared to Love, being that they used other stuff to add to the songs compared to Giles Martin using almost nothing but original Beatles recorded material.

Overall, it's great, I love what they did with the songs, especially with the way they had the Day Tripper riff played backwards in the version titled "Day Reaper."

Has anyone purchased the album? I am thinking of buying it later down the line to support it. Is it pressed as well?

By the way, I actually like it a bit better than Love, even!
