Paul & John Meeting 1974

I only recently found out that John and Paul met in 1974 in the USA. Can anybody tell me more details about this meeting? Whose initiative it was and how did they react on each other? Was it good fun or a lot of tension in the air? And on what occasion did the Beatles meet each other since 1970? Were they friends then?

They recorded some material which formed 'A Toot 'N A Snore in 74' Bootleg album.....There is somewhere on this forum a few threads on it I believe.

Thnx. Just found it. Paul is hard to recognize, isn't he? I'd say it could be anybody. Bad quality, but I guess it has some historical value. Does anybody know how they reacted or welcomed each other? Other interesting details?

I've seen more pictures from that meeting. In one of them John was holding a polaroid that Linda had snapped.

It's obvious it wasn't a recording session. But how (and why?) did they get together? Who's initiative was it? Still questions to me...

Yes, already found a toot and a snore. Thanx for co-thinking. More historical value than musical value, don't you think? And Paul's drumming isn't the best I've heard of him, not to mention John's singing... But I would really like to know the details behind this meeting. I guess they weren't the best of friends in the years before, after Let It Be and John's How Do You Sleep and all that. But in 74 they got back together. Probably the absence of Mrs Lennon played a role in that?

he moved out to Los Angeles, beginning his year-and-a-half long "lost weekend." During 1974 and 1975, Lennon lived a life of debauchery in Los Angeles, partying hard with such celebrities as Elton John, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, David Bowie and Ringo Starr. i found this.........and this...An Interview with May Pang about the making of John Lennon's classic album, Rock 'n' Roll. ... Paul did jam with John.
