Not at all, my dear Kevin. For me it just shows what an all-around powerful band the Beatles were. They could do their own material brilliantly, and other people's material... better than they did!  ;D

I've been listening to the Live at the BBC album lately and enjoying it tremendously. They were such a fun live band. I wished I could have seen them when they were doing these hour or even two-hour long shows. Wow, the place would have been rocking out.

'Some Other Guy' on the BBC album is the greatest song they never recorded. I sincerely hope you have the Anthology DVD's and have seen them doing it at The Cavern?

I was a primitive when Anthology came out, so only have the series on video tape. But I have seen that performance. Great stuff.

Twist n Shout for me (please, anyone?  ;)) I mean, John done it superbly and then there's the whole "rattle your jewelery..." so yea...

But the other cover I like (from here) is Please Mr Postman (it reminds me of the good times Cyn and John were together *sigh*)

ooo-k... decisions-decisions... (or rather in-decisions!)

Twist and Shout is a classic of course... but I love Please Mr Postman and Long Tall Sally too, and Rock 'n Roll Music is great!  I also really like listening to Honey Don't and Act Naturally...

OK, gotta pick one, gotta pick one... >__<

Aw, alright, lock in Twist and Shout. Final answer.  ;) But Mr Postman and Rock 'n Roll Music come very close seconds!  ;D

Where's Long Tall Sally, for me it's the best one they covered! :) The energy
of that track is so on top form & it was made in just one take!! :o
But out of them i voted for Twist & Shout, it was the most covered song that people
identify them with. It put the Isley Brothers version to shame i thought.
The best covered songs in my opinion were what they did on their radio shows!
All their ability's as fine musician's shone through them tracks! ;)

Yeah, that first part is true. And, oh my gosh, to see them live! That would be my ultimate dream come true! The BBC album is spectacular, they do every song great, it's a fun album that's for sure.

And what BlueMeanie said about Some Other Guy at the Cavern, it's truly historic. Pretty good film too, since it was so long ago. I love that video and I love that song.

The best cover? Gonna have to say Twist And Shout. Long Tall Sally is a close second though, I think. "It'll rock you and it'll roll you!"

Can I remind everyone that you were only meant to vote ONCE! That is, either in Part 2:

http://www.dmbeatles.com/forums/v-post/b-songs/m-1184700256/post-1/

OR Part 1. The first post on the thread explained it. It's only split because I couldn't make a single poll with them all in. It's kinda useless now, as several people have voted in both!

Obviously, Twist and Shout is the most popular cover song. And it's popular for a reason. It's damn good. Baby It's You used to be one of my favourites, but since I heard the Smith version a few years ago I can't help but think what the Beatles could have done with that song.

Shout-out to Long Tall Sally for showcasing an early growly Macca!

Wow, Mairi, I seem to agree with everything you have said here. Almost like I've lost the ability for independent thinking.

What she said ^  :)
