"Athlete" Class Act!!!!!!

I had the opportuinty last evening to drive my Daughter and her friend to see "Athlete" I saw the lead singer outside his bus and asked if he would sign a fiver for her. The guy could not have been nicer. WE talked for about ten minutes about Brit bands etc. He asked if I was going to the show and I said that I didn't have a ticket with that he flagged down his road manager and said "Stew" we have to get this guy inside put him on our "guest list"! Long story short I got to see "Athlete" up close and they were awesome! The lead singer could not have been more kinder and really appreciated the fact that I had brought my Daughter and her friend to see them! This band is a "class/act"!!!!!!

Great story Apple Sauce! It's always nice to read something like that!

I bought a couple of their singles about 2 years back - Beautiful and El Salvador - the problem for me is their sound is now too distinctive and the tracks end up sounding the same. Just a small critisism though! :)

Don't like the band but the song "Wires" is amazing!!!

 Yes well "Wires" video and song are amazing! This is a band not unlike "Coldplay"; requires some listening and thinking about their songs. It's definatley not background music! I think if one listens to their cd "Tourist" and their first cd you will see the distinctive songs on them. The "Wires" song should have broke them to "North America" but it was not promoted properly!

I'm sure that if you were impressed with "Wires" there's a chance their other songs would grow on you also!
