Song Survivor Game, Part 9. This weeks game combines the UK EP release of Magical Mystery Tour, with the original A-side of Yellow Submarine, minus the title track, but including Hello Goodbye.
Just vote for the best 3 songs (only 3) in order of preference. And the worst song. If you haven't seen the rules, please see the thread Song Survivor Game Rules.

Peoples differing taste never ceases to amaze me. I'm really suprised that any of George's songs are appearing in the top 3 on this one. Given that it includes: Fool On The Hill (classic Macca), I Am The Walrus, Hello Goodbye, Strawberry Fields Forever, and Penny Lane. And 2 people have voted All You Need Is Love as worst song. Makes it more interesting though. I've only predicted the top 3 once so far. Also interesting is that the site that I nicked this game from (beatleboards.com, cheers Tony, again!) have some very different results to us, albeit with fewer votes. I'm really lookingg forward to seeing what happens with The White Album. Big vote next week - 2 in 1.

That's part of why I'm enjoying this game so much. Some people will list their favorite song and I'll think what? Not necessarily disagreeing, just surprised. Really? Someone liked that one that much better than the others? Which is sort of why I think the Beatles are lasting as long as they have. They can support such a variety of tastes that, to borrow a phrase from John Lennon, they have "enough little bitties going to keep you interested even a hundred years later".
For example, of the five songs you listed, I actively hate one. Hate it! Won't play it. Lots of people love it. Just different strokes-- which fortunately the Beatles can accommodate.

That what makes this game so interesting. During the whole week I keep checking the thread to see how everybody else is voting. I can't wait until we can vote for the songs in the White Album. There are so many different songs...

No worries paul, have this one on me :) Ive also been looking at the comparative results of the two competitions and was thinking of posting a side by side comparrison. I think its fair to say that beatleboards has probably a younger membership than on here so the results are interesting. I voted on here on the basis of what i currently am loving and i note that although i picked the same 3 songs, i picked them in a different order. so its horses for courses and its very interesting how everybody sees different things in different songs. SFF romped home on this vote on beatleboards so lets see how it pans out here. Keep up the great work, youre running this game superbly.

I had to show some love for 'All You Need Is Love'. I sang this for hours one day, marching through the snow.
Lots of great songs in this list; I had a tough time (as usual) picking out a few bests and the "worst". Really there's not a song in the bunch that I would be forced to skip on my CD.

It's close for worst song. Very. BJW hasn't rceived any votes so far in the 'best of'.
I was thinking about saying that you could change your vote if you wanted to, but on reflection folks could start deliberately altering the end result to suit their favourites. So, tough! ;D
There's still a few regulars that haven't voted, so things could change.

yeah ill leave it be as other would wanna be fiddling with there choices too, but at least if it gets worst vote it still gets to continue in the game even if it is for wooden spoon :P

im really gutted with this round of the game, nearly every track on this with the exception of one or two, would come top for me if they had been on other albums.

Hmm, that's unfortunate, as everyone has the same problem.
This was the interesting one to see because it has a lot of everyones favourites. This is what the game's all about. If people don't vote because of that, then I'm waisting my time! :(
