The Beatles | Their Golden Age
« on: July 17, 2012, 08:01:48 AM »

A new documentary on the Beatles will be released on July 24, 2012!

Over a half century ago John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison named themselves the Beatles and soon after recruited their drummer, Ringo Starr. This superb documentary. The Beatles: Their Golden Age is a nostalgic look back at all the excitement of the era. It truly captures the magic as well as the pandemonium of "Beatlemania," from their delirious fans and madcap movies to interviews with each of the Fab Four.
Your trip begins from the inception of the group in 1960 through Sgt. Pepper psychedelia and moves to the dissolution of the Beatles, the most popular entertainment act in history. It is loaded with rare footage. You'll follow the lads on their whirlwind tours across Europe and America, as well as around the world. You'll hear the shrieks of adoring fans – and those appalled by John's "Bigger than Jesus" comment. You'll laugh at the wit of Paul and Ringo, share a moment with newly-weds George and Pattie and making of their movies. It includes news footage, movie scenes, interviews, and public appearances.
You'll enjoy scenes from their classic films, including:
    A Hard Day's Night
    Help!
    The Magical Mystery Tour
    Yellow Submarine
    Let It Be

A good observation Kelley. I have seen many dvd's with 'unseen footage', usually a snippet of a few seconds. That goes for books as well.

I've noticed an awful lot of Beatle magazine-type books at the grocery store check out lately. One claimed it contained never-before-seen photos and I was sort of tempted but resisted. Besides, someone had to have seen them...like the photographer and the editors.  ;)

ha2ha  Very clever!

Very often it's pictures you have seen before, but just slighty different, or from a slighty different angle. There's loads and loads of books with unseen pictures as you can imagine.
