Hendrix has an amazing voice.  It's only because his guitar wizardry is so out of this world that his voice is so underrated.

Forget the greatest hits albums, buy his first 3:  Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, and his masterpiece, Electric Ladyland.  After that, you'll want to get everything else Hendrix did that you can get your hands on.  But at least get those 3 -- otherwise you're cheating yourself.

Jimi played Sgt. Pepper's at the Saville Theater just a few days after the album was released.  Paul and George were in the audience.....and needless to say they were blown away!

when jimi lived in new york he partyed alot...and when he felt funky and groovy he dug jamming with other cats....so buzzed out of his gord he would at times go to the guitar store and pick up a srat to play with the new pals he had that night sometimes an amp, money wasn't an issue..all he had to do was sign his name and the studio took care of it,he didn't need i d either once he plugged one in,because he always tried them...he would then go back to where the happening was and wow the brains out many a lucky individual...and when he left he was usually blitzed and left the guitar and amp by accident or as a gift, maybe for the hospitality of the hosts, that maybe why so many people have a hendrix guitar....i believe that,he was a kindrid spirit, seemed like an old soul to me too...but they would give him credit..that would have been a site to see...rock on johnny hendrix....

Did you know that Jimi's father, Al, has a museum in his home in Seattle that pays tribute to his son and that if you call him and let him know that you'll be in the area, he'll give you a tour for free? His number is listed in the Seattle phone book.
i saw that on this link...http://www.findadeath.com/Deceased/h/Jimi%20Hendrix/jimi_hendrix.htm
