Beatlemania hits Bogota with 2 new exhibits
Two Beatles exhibitions will make their way to Bogota next month.The exhibits, which cost $14 to enter and will run from August 14 to October 16 at Bogota's Seminario Mayor de Usaquén Valmaria, include photos, drawings, murals, interviews and articles about the legendary pop band. Attendees can also hang their own wishes for peace from the branches of the museum's peace tree.

Merseybeat Monday marks Beatles anniversary
August bank holiday in Liverpool will have a distinct Merseybeat feel to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles.
As part of the Mathew Street Music Festival, which takes place on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 August, there will be a nod to Liverpool’s most famous sons as the second day has been renamed Merseybeat Monday,

Rushworth's music store documents unearthed in office refurbishment
Paul McCartney’s first guitar was said to have been bought from Rushworths, and in 1962 John Lennon and George Harrison were presented with their Gibson J-160E guitars specially imported from Chicago.
