Title: ALL THIS AND WORLD WAR II
Post by: Sondra on September 06, 2004, 07:39:59 AM: Does anyone know anything about this movie? Apparently a lot of different artists did versions of Beatles songs for it. I've never heard of it. Would it be worth getting? Here's a photo that list the soundtrack. It's an 8-track! How weird!! I wanna hear Moon's version of When I'm 64. I'd get it just for that!

Beatles' "significance" pushed to the breaking point in this bizarre documentary that juxtaposes their songs (sung by a number of rock stars) with World War II newsreel footage. Helen Reddy sings "Fool On The Hill" while Hitler relaxes at Bertchtesgaden, and Rod Stewart husks "Get Back" while Nazi troops goose step.

But then, I love everything about the man. I'd like to hear some of the others, but I don't know about Leo Sayer!!!! Isn't he the guy who did You Make Me Feel Like Dancing!! Ugh!
