'I am the walrus': McCartney backing campaign against Arctic warming, drilling

Paul McCartney has joined the list of entertainers and scientists in the debate against global warming. The former Beatle issued a lengthy statement Monday on his website warning about the shrinking Arctic ice cap and against oil drilling and fishing in the Arctic seas.

Paul McCartney Writes Essay Seeking Supporters for Greenpeace's "Save the Arctic" Initiative

Paul McCartney has written a long message imploring people to join him in supporting Greenpeace's recently launched campaign to convince the United Nations to declare Earth's Arctic region an ecological sanctuary.
