The more I listen to 'Walls & Bridges', the better it sounds. I stole my quote from 'Old Dirt Road'.

'Plastic Ono Band' is sheer raw genius, as bare-bones as it gets (even with Spector producing). As one reviewer said, "He put his balls on the tracks, and out of sheer respect, the train ground to a halt." The results of this kind of album would have been absolutely disastrous if it were any talent less than Lennon's.

I think one day people are going to realize the sheer brilliance that is Walls and Bridges.

Hope it is remastered this year...

Not sure what you mean by that......but it has been confirmed that Yoko is working on that album for a rerelease this Fall.........I'm guessing it will include whatever leftover Walls tracks from Menlove Avenue that weren't also on Anthology..........that then leaves the two live albums and Sometime in New York City/Live Jam in need of reissue.

Edit: fixed typo.

The Ocean Child From Hell said she's releasing one reissue/year. 'Walls/Bridges' is next in line like someone else noted.

POB is his best album, I have no doubt. In fact I consider it the best album by any ex Beatle. And my favourite Beatle is Paul!! LOL

Overall I think Imagine. The best tracks on POB are better (I Found Out, Look At Me, God, Love), but the self pity of some of the others (Mother, Working Class Hero) drags that one down for me. Of course the petty vindictiveness of How Do You Sleep? is a blot on Imagine, too.

I prefer the rehearsal takes of Walls and Bridges material on side two of Menlove Avenue to the finished album: less production and more soul, if that's the right word. I think Mind Games and Walls and Bridges would both be better albums if you stripped away a lot of the production. Rock and Roll, too, actually.

I somehow agree. Both are great albums and with less production everyone would pay more attention to those awesome melodies he was composing along with amazing lyrics.I don't like the Rock And Roll album much, though.
