Here's a touge-in-cheek nonsense rocker for Ringo:

"Some Release"

Well I saw her by the bus stop at the end of the street
I wanted her for mine 'cos she looked so sweet

Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!!!!

Well I walked up to her I could feel her heart beat
I said listen baby what a way to meet

Yeah
Yeah, Yeah
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!!!!

Now I'm laying here feeling so complete
I say hey baby that was some release

Yeah
Yeah, Yeah,
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!!!!

I have put my Bob Dylan hat on before and written one or two wordy songs, I like this one though because, although simple I can remember it totally off hand which ain't bad for something thats nearly two years old.

Quote from: The_End
This one was written about a typical boring Sunday - waking up with a hangover and watching the same old stuff on TV! You can both hear and listen to this one right here: http://www.geocities.com/the_end_gb/sunday.htm

I really like them (thumbsup) (who's singing?):

The first one (See Her Smile) is obviously the most mainstream and the lyrics, telling the story of that woman, in the best McCartney style,... ;)
The third one (Sunday Again) is the one I like the most ( ;D)
second and third (Liverpool Street) ones remind me somehow... and sorry for saying... remind me to Beautiful South.

i have no idea what inspired me to write this creepy little diddy, but i was browsing through my massive lists of songs and found this. hope you enjoy

I saw the bullet
Flying through the hole,
Prying up my soul,
Taking on its toll,

My life went by,
I felt a mother

Here's "Mark and John"

Hey Mr. Mark,
Lurking in the dark,
You see Johnny

Hmm. Five pages of lyrics and not one contribution from wayne L.!

I must say, for a guy who claims to write about 100 lyrics per month, I'm disappointed.

No guts, no glory wayne. Your not aspiring too much!

Around where I live, we say "Snipped!" Don't ask me why... we have all our own slang... I think it comes from living in the country. ::)

Anyway, I liked the first song somedude. No offense, but I didn't really like the MDC one. I think you are a better writer when it comes to abstract subjects rather than concrete.

On a dark desert highway, cool whip in his hair
warm smell of penis colonics rising up in the air
up ahead in the distance, he saw a shimmering light
his head grew heavy from the meds and his sights grew dim
he had to stop for the night
there she stood in the doorway
he heard the mission bell
and the waynerd was thinking to himself, "Hey, I recognize that foot smell"!
this could be Heaven as this could be Hell
then she lit up a candle and she showed him the way
there were voices down the corridor,
he thought he heard them say...

welcome to the Hotel Bellevue waynerd
such a lovely place
such lovely feet
plenty of room at the Hotel Bellevue
any time of year, you can find him here

his mind is definately twisted, as the waynerd got the weak knee bends
she got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends
how those feet dance in the courtyard, sweat summer sweat
some dance to remember, one he'll never forget

so waynerd called for the doctor
please bring me some more dilaudids and wine
he said we haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine
and still those voices are calling waynerd from far away
wakes him up in the middle of the night
just to hear them say

welcome to the Hotel Bellevue waynerd
such a lovely place
such lovely feet
they livin' it up at the Hotel Bellevue waynerd
what a nice surprise, bring your alibis

mirrors on the ceiling
the pink pumps are full of champagne on ice
and she said, "We are all just prisoners here waynerd, of our own device."
and in the doctors chambers
they gathered for the feet
they suck and lick them
but they just can't kill that beast named waynerd

last thing he remembered, he was
running for the door
the waynerd had to find the passage back
to the place he was before
relax said the night man
we are programmed to receive
you can check out anytime you like waynerd
but you can never leave!

If I review yours (which is beautiful, I may add) will you review this song

Genre: Freestyle Jazz

IS CAPTAIN BEEFHEART DEAD?

A river breaks a sea of trout blood dancing in the mud
Should we keep going on through this place
This heavy forsaken world
Where we are baked?
Through time we have kept moving this jazz cycle around and around
And found only pain through this guitar
This scar
Are we the last of a breed of rockers?
I certainly hope not
Is Captain Beefheart Dead
Yesterday was the twenty fifth anniversary
Of John's assasination?
Well you all sit and play your playstation
May I inquire that we heed the warnings of Mr. Reed?
Follow the path of Syd?
Did you say that's it or is it sh*t?
