Just finished `Incendies' (2010)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1255953/

Wow!  :'(
This is must see for everyone!

Looks interesting.  I'll check it out.

My wife, daughter, and I went and saw The Shack.  Wife read the book and wanted to see it.  Guy takes his kids on a camping trip and the youngest daughter is kidnapped and murdered.  Guy gets a note in his mailbox some time later telling him to go to the Shack where the murder occurred.  He goes and ends up spending the weekend with God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.  I cried like a little baby to the point that I was embarrassed.  Lol.

Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. What a movie. I had to rewatch the last 20 minutes because I kept nodding off, which ruined the ending, but that speech was worth hearing again. I highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it. The years have done nothing to diminish its message.

An historically significant film.  I'm happy he had the courage to make it.

I've wanted to watch it since I first checked it out to a patron at the old job. I was reminded of that when it was mentioned in an article I read recently.

I watched the latest Pirates of the Caribbean with my boys. Pretty non descript film although fun enough as these things are. But I'd forgotten that Paul had a cameo in it. Only lasted for thirty seconds or so and he was almost unrecognisable. Still. It was quite amusing and probably the best thirty seconds of acting in his career.

Against my better judgement, I was persuaded to watch the new cinema release of "IT". In my opinion they missed the "SH" off the beginning of the film's title. What a load of garbage. That clown - supposed to be so frightening - reminded me of The Grinch in white makeup. The jumpy bits you could pre-empt a mile off and the scariest bit of the whole experience for me was the 2017 price of popcorn on the way in.

Haha, yeah there are so many lousy films made

My last cinema visit was to watch Dunkirk, which I thought was a fabulous film.

I was so hoping to disagree with you, Mr. Mustard, because I really wanted to like this movie, but I was actually bored. The last third reminded me of the last part of Titanic, with Jack and Rose running around the lower corridors of the ship. <yawn>

You're right, the clown wasn't scary, and the jump scares were predictable and not that frightening.

It's a cliché, but the book (and even the TV version from 1990) were definitely better.

Would you say that the clown was more obnoxious than scary?

Hmmmm...I wouldn't say obnoxious; I'd probably choose the word silly, or maybe just dull. He was just kind of boring, like "Oh, look; there's Pennywise again," whereas the book gave me nightmares.

That's not to say I wouldn't run if I saw him in a dark alley, LOL, but Tim Curry's Pennywise in the TV version was scarier.

Have you seen the movie, Kelley? If so, I'd be curious to hear your opinion.
