I've found this version of
Yesterday. It was played before German audience - a 'territory' which wasn't unknown to the Fab Four, from their earlier days.
As with
Anthology live version, George makes short introduction - partly in German (he says 'spiele' meaning 'the record').
Also, Paul sings in first verse:
All my troubles seems so far away -
Now I need a place to hide awayinstead of
Now it looks as though they're here to stay...Instead of humming (mmm), he ends the song with 'yesterday' - which is very nice.
George and John back on guitars - and Ringo adds drums, so the song is more 'rocky'.
I like this version better than the one on the
Anthology.
