Ok, I just heard a GREAT Beatles song (well...it was either by them, or a of a solo album).
I heard it tonight on "Hall Of Fame Coast-to-Coast", a radio program that plays great oldies songs.
Anywho, it's hard for me to recollect any of the lyrics, but let me tell you, I was feeling this song.
There were parts where there was the rat-tat-tat "marching" drumming, very distinct.
There was also a horn solo, and it seemed that the vocalist was sing by himself rather than with harmony.
I know this is really vague but if you can figure this ou, then you are a genius and I will owe you big time.
Thanks,
Marc

wow, thanks for the replies. That's not it, but what a great song "For No One" is.
The drums in the song I am looking for is liek something an army would march to.
I am sorry I can't give you all any more information. Thanks for your suggestions and let me know if you have any more ideas

It may be from John, Paul, or George's solo career.
I just have no idea where to look. I am just desperate to hear the song again!!
-
It could be Let 'Em In, a Paul solo song.
Someone's knocking at the door
Somebody's ringing the bell
Someone's knocking at the door
Somebody's ringing the bell
Do me a favor, open the door and let 'em in
