Today I have bought a book which is called The Beatles Unseen Archives by Tim Hill and Marie Clayton. It costs 90 dollars, I guess it is more than it costs in the UK. It`s usually like that. Who has got it?

can we see a pic of it,jane ?  please

Sorry, python, it`s only now that I saw your post. The poster is the black and white Beatles against the Capitol Hill. It is the only one that can be found here. The best poster now here is that of the Rolling Stones to my mind. By the way one of my friends has just come from Austria and he says that in Austria there are no other Beatles posters than the one against the Capitol Hill. Is the situation the same everywhere? Why so?

I don't own it, but I checked out the library's copy a bazillion times. You know the first picture of the four of them(in a car?)?
It was falling out of the book, so I graciously helped it out. Shame on me, defacing library property. (nono) That would make a good thread: 'Confessions of a Crazed Beatle Fan'. Ha, just kidding.

Sorry, miss Lennon! the picture on the cover is the Beatles standing close to each other wearing rather short (and very fashionable nowadays) coats. John is wearing a long scarf, George - a leather coat. i`ve never seen the pic before, they are awesome! The first pic in the book is the four faces in close-up. I love it!

It's got nice pictures by Astrid Kirchherr and Max Scheler. Not entirely Beatles, but some Merseyside atmosphere as well. Nice book. I do have the Unseen Archives as well. Good enough to browse through every now and then, but not earth shattering imho. Slightly different versions from well known pictures in general. Nice for the coffee table.  ;D  I'd say 90 dollars is extremely overprized tho! I think I paid about a third.

I got The Beatles Unseen by Mark Heyward. (The titles are similar). It's a good book, loads of... erm... unseen (by me) pictures

90 dollars is too much, yes. I bought QUEEN book in London for 17 pounds and in Moscow it is about 90 dollars as well. Though I think the translated version would be cheaper, but the original from Britain is certainly expensive! And it can`t be found everywhere.

KE and I just got a Yellow Sub T-shirt and a Let It Be T-shirt (bouncing2) ;D We'll probably end up sharing them, coz we haven't divided them up and we're about the same size. That was a good find, you don't see a lot of Beatles stuff down here... Also I got KE a Beatley New-Year-present, but she saw me buy it, so it won't be a surprise... she'll still like it though ;D
