Actually, I like to be addressed as a human being, besides the name in the forums should be short for other members` convenience. And Jane is a female name, to me very lovely. Besides, I really like Jane Asher very much, she is a very good person and, as someone mentioned here, she is class. Then there is Jane Birkin, who is very beautiful to me. Also there is, was, Jane Austin. And certainly the name Jane is related to the Beatles!

I've always wondered if Jane was your real name. I suppose not, then?

No, it isn`t. Here the name close to Jane is Jennya=Eugennya. But it`s not mine either.
BTW my true name is international, it`s Greek.
Penny is not your name, is it? (Is Penny Penelope?)

You did mention your name, didn`t you? But I don`t remember it.  :(
I haven`t. Only one person knows it. You will never guess who!

I think I hinted at my real name once here... I can't remember if I ever mentioned it explicitly.

If I PMed you my real name, would you tell me yours? ;)

I picked my name for 2 reasons.
It was the song that was playing when I first stumbled on this site.
And because I was listening to John's Interview abt his first LSD trip over and over again within the same week.

Oh! Really good and interesting thread! :)
What about me, my screen name is rather old, I 'invented' it about 3 years ago. I was doing my English homework and I was looking through my dictionary. And when I saw the word "magnet" (seriously I wasn't looking exactly for it), I suddenly thought of the word "magness". Later I decided to use it as a nickname on one site. And then it became my screen name almost everywhere, for some reason I liked it... :D
