I heard a portion of this a year or so ago. It is obvious it isn't even George's voice.
Exactly. As soon as "George" started talking, I'm like "Yeah, that's not him." I knew it wouldn't sound like him. I've heard guys in tribute bands do way better. Plus, the recording wasn't crackly or anything, and he sounded like he was just sitting there reading a script without any "Ummms" in there or anything, haha. My brother thought it sounded like him, and I'm like "Trust me, I'm a fan, I know it's not him."
I started watching it, like you said, for a laugh but soon turned it off. It might have been funny to me if I watched it with someone else, I dunno. Glad you set your brother straight!
Yeah, by the end he was still saying "What if?", but he also said the whole movie was silly. I'm like "Yeah, ya think?" I'm so glad I was there to watch it with him, or else he would've came down to my house (he lives right up the street from me and my parents) the next morning saying "You're not gonna believe this, you have to see this movie, I
guarantee Paul McCartney is dead, blah, blah, blah." Lol.
The only two things in the movie I don't understand is why they showed video footage of the real George, and he clearly said the name "Faul" (According to the movie, this is what the Beatles referred to the replacement Paul as, meaning "False Paul"). I guess they just somehow manipulated the footage. And I'm wondering who the guy is in the photo near the lower left hand corner of the White Album poster. He has glasses and a small mustache with combed-back hair. To me it looks like Paul goofing around or something, but the movie says it's "Faul". I don't think it's "Faul" of course, I'm just wondering if that is Paul, and if it is than it's a funny pic.
