Paul McCartney and Beatles producer George Martin hated this and tried to keep it off the album.
This is the longest Beatles song - it runs 8:15. It also took longer to complete than any other track on album.

from what i have read i am not too sure if paul hated the song as such;could be he had nothing to do with rev.9,and amongst certain tensions that are well documented on the white album sessions,he tried to veto the song;but what was he thinking of replacing it with?not guilty?

I wish. I love 'Not Guilty'. 'Sour Milk Sea' would have been a good one to include too.

well,it must have been one of the two, surely?not too sure if there was a surplus of songs recorded 'in the can' anyway in the white album sessions.paul had 'junk' at this time as well, but like i say probably only 'not guilty' was complete and ready to go.then again-not sure if paul would argue georges' corner to include the song they way they used to get on,but that is another story.............. ;D
