I've been a fan for a good long time, so I have all the Beatles Capitol LPs and several UK LPs.  Most noteworthy is my mono Sgt. Peppers LP.  Nothing comes close!

i am way more serious about collecting 45s with picture sleeve than with album collections....i will post some pics of some someday...i have a crap load of them...from the 50s,60s,70s,80s,and 90s.....i got some of everything too..from guns and roses to liberace...i lack one one beatles u s release and that is she loves you on capitol...i haven't bought one yet for some reason...maybe because it will finalize things...and then i won't have a hobby if i finish...i have ricky nelson, buddy holly, the everly brothers and more...anybody wanna trade some?lolbobber and i did that once...i think he sent me tommy steele and i believe alan sent me something too...elderhiemers deskseieze sorry... ;D
i have melin presley too...he is quite collectable for a white guy...lol i have some eps too....trouble with the little records is pristine is hard to find...they are so small they get tossed about...

I'm going to my in-laws' house this weekend to steal my younger brother-in-law's record player.  (He moved out ages ago so he won't care.)  I really want to be able to play the Beatles records in my house that have been unused for so long.  The main problem is that his record player is needle-less, so I'll probably have to spend some time finding places that sell them.

Thanks so much! :)

My hubby and I made off with the record player yesterday.  I think it's about 30ish years old, simple in design, but it's good quality and has an understated beauty.  Considering its age, it appears to be in excellent shape.  We haven't played a damn thing on it yet, and who knows if it will really work, but I'm already in love.

As for the needle...  My husband has been searching all over the Internet for a compatible one.  So far I think eBay will be our best bet.

I remember years ago you could get them at Radio Shack or any store like that...  Then again, that was in the early 90s.

^  We just ordered a new record player cartridge and needle from Amazon tonight.  (Prior to this, I had no clue Amazon sold stuff like that.)  Let's hope everything will work properly!
