Sad, but he is going to be 80 years old.

That is a pity. Not cos I’m a huge Ringo solo fan, but just that he’s getting old enough that it seems a natural thing to do.

I’ve heard some more references to this on various podcasts. Seems this isn’t Ringo hanging up his recording drum sticks. He thinks that albums aren’t that important in today’s music scene. So he will do singles and maybe EPs instead.
So good news for Ringo fans who don’t want him to give it all up just yet.
