I think the only way to describe UK Glam Rock is Rock n Roll with fantasy and sci fi influences.

If you look at the bands such as the Sweet and The Faces (Stewarts band) you can see trace it back to even Elvis and his multi-coloured jackets but Rory had style unique to his era and if you check Rod he was everything from a mod to Beatnick while Rory was at his prime so who really knows

I think that’s right. It surprises me now when I hear an old Sweet song or similar bands, how so much  of it is basic three chord rock and roll. With shiny suits.
