Warning out vs Beatles DVD spam
Counterfeiters of The Beatles are spamming fans to convince them to buy a DVD of the legendary UK band, a computer security firm warned this week.The spam mail offers a "box set" that appeared to have put all the band's songs into one DVD, computer security firm Sophos said."They've even gone to the effort of adding a mini-documentary for each official album from 'Please Please Me' to 'Abbey Road,'" Sophos said in a blog post.It added the tracks and the video content may be "similar" to what Apple announced for its iTunes store late last year.Sophos warned prospective buyers they may be encouraging the spammers if they fall for the ploy and buy the box set.
