Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights - 70's
Dollar - Videotheque - 80's

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony - 90's
Massive Attack - Sly - 90's
Radiohead - The Pyramid Song - 00's
The Killers - Human - 00's
I've just bought the Dollar Album from 1982 who were a well cheesy duo from the 80's UK music scene ;D
The reason been is that their first 4 singles from that album were written and produced by Trevor Horn who's 80's production work i really admire within the next two years he would produce ABC 's The Lexicon Of Love album (1982) and Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Welcome To The Pleasure Dome album (1984)
I'm re- listening to his work and the Dollar songs he wrote and produced , Mirror Mirror , Give Me Back My Heart ,Hand Held In Black And White and Videotheque are simply stunning in their new remastered form , the guy is a genius and the 80's sound he created illustrates that not everything in the 80's was rubbish these three albums prove it :)

A very cheesy duo i know Dollar ha2ha
But i think these Trevor Horn songs and production work are awesome , this is were Horn's sound really started to get noticed and i would say it's classic 80's pop ?

^^^^ Great stuff nyfan(41) they had a UK # 9 single with this Beatles cover in 1979 , they were kind of Britain's Donny & Marie Osmand but worse ha2ha
They had a string of UK hit singles between 1978 and 1986 and were very cheesy , he's English and she's Canadian he's called David Van Day and she's Thereza Bazar .
They recorded three albums together and although their hits were mostly written by other people they did write a lot of their own material and produce themselves .
Would'nt say they are my favourite duo but i do have a soft spot for them always liked their cheesy pop and the 80's stuff they did with Trevor Horn producing is magic .
Trevor Horn produced some of the tracks on Paul's Flowers In The Dirt (1989) and he also produced Grace Jones and Seal's US # 1 single Kiss From A Rose 1995 .
Trevor Horn was part of The Buggles duo they had a # 1 UK hit with Video Killed The Radio Star , which was the first video played on MTV :)

How big were Guys n Dolls in Holland ? they had a few hit's in the UK but not as many as Dollar .
Julie Forsyth is the daughter of Bruce Forsyth legendary TV presnter in the UK who's been on TV since the 1950's , he's in his 80's and still doing one of the biggest shows on TV Strictly Come Dancing .
