I don't know what to make of this. If this was already discussed, forgive me. I'm afraid I'm always very late keeping up with Beatle news.

This pic was taken at Wapping docks during the Beatles all-day phot-shoot at various locations around London 28th July 1968. The most memorable pics from that day were taken at St Pancras Old Chuch - the Beatles kneeling behind some old railings with a crowd school-children (as can be seen when opening a copy of the Red and Blue albums). :)

I knew the article and the picture (from a session called Mad day). Yes, the Beatles played like you can see in the pciture, but it was very unfortunate that they chose JOHN to play the "dead".

Thanks a lot, End, Sadie!

Ypu are welcome!

is that john laying on the ground, if it is it doesnt realy look like him
-
Yes he is, but he isn't wearing nor his glasses nor his fringe, that's why you can hardly recognise him.
-
:-D silly beatles..they did random pics
-
They cropped the picture. George is actually wearing John's glasses. Strange.
-
Mmmm...shirtless Paul. ;)

If anybody thinks Paul, George & Ringo knew John was going to be killed back in 80 then you are officially CRAZY.
-
Your right Wayne!!.....There has been a few books suggesting John's premonition about being shot. Although premonition could be mistaken for paranoia living in New York city and just bein an ex Beatle and political activist.

It appears that The Beatles were aware of John Lennon's upcoming violent death, a full 12 years before he was actually shot down by Mark Chapman outside the Dakota Building in New York .
This has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen posted. How the hell can you possibly surmise that they were 'aware of John Lennon's upcoming violent death' based on a picture they posed for in 1968? That's like taking the picture of them at Aldershot in 1961 where they are presiding over a (still smoking) Paul, in a mock funeral ceremony. Does that mean that someday when Paul dies that they were aware of his death in 1961? Is this picture disturbing? I suppose. But for Chrissakes, you've got to be out of your mind to think this is some kind of premonition. I courageously predict everyone posting on this site will die someday, just a feeling I have.

quite the post, junior.
it's all in fun

John's lyrics from Rubber Soul on showed a preoccupation with death and dying. http://jimcolyer.com/papers/entry?id=61
