I'm 0-2 so far with the performances. I thought Beck was awful and I didn't care for Paul Simon's rendition of 'Here Comes The Sun' last night either (cant find the video). I hate delayed singing. Just sing it like its supposed to be sung. Dhani is tonight though. Should be good.
Here's the video.

If that doesn't work, here's the whole link.

I agree; it did seem a bit draggy and it almost seemed like his partner there had trouble knowing when to come in with the harmony because of it.

Yes that was pretty ordinary wasn't it. No life in it.
Haven't seen the Beck one . What did he do? I thought given his musical style he might be able to do George stuff sympathetically. Disappointing if it was no good.
Kelley posted the Beck video of him doing Wah-Wah.

Ah so she did. Yep not too hot either. It's not one of George's most deep and melodic songs. Beck certainly got the non melodic down pat ha2ha. Without the wall of sound backing it came across as pretty anemic.

Thanks Kelley. Definitely the pick of the bunch so far. Despite it not being my fav George song. At least the band put some oomph into it.
On this evidence Dhani hasn't got the strongest voice. Neither did his dad of course but I liked George's timbre for want of a better word. Dhani isn't as distinctive but is pleasant enough. Makes for a good tribute.
His moustache though is as much of a grooming crime as his dads. :-\
Dhani knocked it out of the park for me. Energetic and a voice that mimics the original. Loved it.
Speaking of his moustache, the guy needs to stop fidgeting when he's being interviewed. Probably nerves I guess.
Yeah, I thought he was gonna pull that beard and mustache right off his face in the beginning of the interview! But the most important thing was the wonderful performance he gave. I think he's a better guitarist than singer but the heart he put into it was more than enough to make it stellar for me. I got all teary-eyed right from the start.

This is probably my favorite song from All Things Must Pass and she performed it well.

It's one of my favourites too. Lovely song and a very nice version. Good way to finish the week of George.

and some nice Bass playing on there with his Hofner Club
I thought the guy with the big red guitar who sang Frankie Crisp has a better voice than George or Dhani, well sung.

Someone called Big Black Delta. Which really doesn't seem to fit him. But he did do a good job on it.
