Just saw on cnn that Allan Williams has passed away.

It's hard to lose these people. They witnessed the story first hand.

I noticed that the article said John took this picture in front of the World War II memorial. Did Mark Lewisohn say that John stayed in the car because the thought of those young men who died was so emotionally difficult for him? Or did I dream that up on my own?
