Can Bob actually sing ? Ive always wondered.

That’s a good one. Not sure what Bob does is necessarily singing. And his style changes a lot. But I’ve never minded his voice. I think it’s effective in lots of stuff.
I remember chasing this one down after seeing the short clip on Anthology. Love the song and the clip.

I never think of Neil Young in the blues vein. Not as traditional approach as Dylan takes. Cool though.
Back to Bob for another fav bluesy one from him. A bit earlier in his career

Haven't listened to that one much before. I like that laid back blues style. Jim's voice suits it. icon_good
At the non-land back end, this next one is I think one of the best slide blues players going around. Technically awesome but also great feel.

Never really seen him before Moog, he is great. Didnt he join the Allman Bros ?

He did for a bit. His uncle was the drummer which helped no doubt. Really like his style regardless.

I always think of the Pretty Things as a sixties band. I didn’t realise they went in into the 70s as well. icon_good

Jeff is great. Like that sustain he uses. But why does he have a 12 year old girl playing bass?

Thats Tal Wilkenfeld Moog an Australian bassist and guitarist whose career began performing alongside artists including Jeff Beck, Prince, Eric Clapton, Herbie Hancock and Mick Jagger.

Oh yeah. I remember her. I saw her on Spicks and Specks (an Aussie music show for others) years ago. She moved to LA or something when she was 16 on her own to play bass or something. Great player.

They went into the 80's, 90's, and the 2000's too. Their last album was in 2020.
