Title: Best Film Soundtracks
Post by: Herecomesyoursun on January 27, 2005, 03:56:05 AM
Forest Gump has a great one, as does Dazed and Confused, Reservoir Dogs, and Apocalypse Now.  What are some of your favorites.

I liked it a lot too.

And a soundtrack with 6 Elliott Smith songs, you can't go wrong with that. Some people therefore refered to Elliott Smith as an invisible extra lead character in the movie, and I think they're right cause he sets the mood of the movie for a big part.

Yeah the Little Green Bag song (I dunno who its by) and all the Super Sounds of the Seventies are great.

That's by a Dutch singer called George Baker.

It's really weird, this guy has be terrorizing our country for decades with dozens of absolutely horrible songs, but some way he managed to write two decent songs that somehow both turned into international cult hits (Little Green Bag and Una Paloma Blanca).

So for the rest of the world he's now the singer of those two cool obscure 70's cult hits, but here no one takes him seriously. Nowadays he earns his money by singing those two songs with a pre-recorded backing tape on golden oldies parties.

We seem to have quite a lot of Star Wars fans on this forum. Never really could get into the movies. Sciene fiction's all right, but I prefer comdies. Especially dark comedies.

Yeah, it was made in 86 (I think) and its set in the 50's (great Soundtrack :) )

The Basic plot (Gets complex for hilarity) Bunch of people who are being blackmailed, called to the house, where it is told on a letter that their financial troubles will end.
They all take pseudonym's (Mrs.Peacock, Col Mustard etc) so to keep private..but then people start getting killed (the cook etc) great cast, great script, great story and Black Comedy at its best!
Tim Curry is the Butler (WordsWorth) With other familiar faces, a comical watch everytime.

i like the school of rock soundtrack, although they forgot to add many better songs. it is still decent though.
