What do you guys think of those "LOVE" plaques for John and George? I thought they were pretty lame! I mean, they could have used a bit more imagination! For a start they used two really common photos that have been in circulation for well over 30 years - George's pic from the White Album and John's pic which has also been used on the cover of the Working Class Hero compilation AND Menlove Avenue album, and was actually taken AFTER The Beatles split (Bob Gruen?).
Of course, I think it's a fantastic gesture but it just all seemed a bit cobbled together. What do you guys think?
The newly unveiled plaques.

Yeah, I agree Al. Just seems to me that the project was alittle rushed. I'm guessing Ringo, Paul, Olivia & Yoko had some say in the matter ... but it could of been great ... after all, they do have a HUGE collection of images to pick from.
It didn't impress me at all. A simple graphic computer program could have made that.
Aspinall would have made sure something better was done. ;)
I thought they could have been a little more ...well i don't know what word to use... but it is just the thought that counts and preserving the memories....
little more imaginative? :-/
yes, i guess.... ;)
I thought it was cool... :P
I didn't see anything wrong with that... I mean, sure i see your point, The End (and others) but all the short clips throughout the interview were compensatory, I would say.

Would he really? I think the man was a gross incompetent. They'd have been delayed by 3 years if he had anything to do with it.

The short clips were there for the TV audience. They don't go on display do they! With all the material they had to choose from, a 5 year old could have done a better job. They should be ashamed of themselves.

We're talking about the plaques, not the interview here.

oh ok. oops (I didnt know what plaques were :B) ... well, i still dont see anything wrong with them. There must have been some thought behind those plaques, so as the old saying goes "its the thought that counts".
No worries whatsoever :)
The plaques (if you can call them plaques - they're basically photos propped on lecterns) are the pics of John and George as shown in the first picture in my post.
Yeah I absolutely agree it's the thought that counts - problem is, not much thought appears to have gone into those plaques, sadly.
They'd better call them plagues.
Like others have said, it's a nice thought, but I don't think they put much effort into them. I could do that on MS Paint.
MS Paint...? Maybe photoshop 8)

Easy in Photoshop. I could do it in 5 minutes, literally. But then I have been using it for 14 years.
