Title: wedding music
Post by: on August 15, 2007, 03:22:35 PM
I would like to have a couple of friends play acoustic guitar at my wedding ceremony.  I would love suggestions on romantic Beatles songs that would sound great and be recognizable played on acoustic guitar with no vocals.
If you have sheet music to go along with your suggestions that would be great!
Please help!
Thank you

HI Bride -

At my wedding my two best friends did "In My Life". Another nice one might be "And I Love Her".

Congratulations!!

Those are nice options. There's sheet music everywhere on the internet.

Thanks for all the great suggestions.  I'm sill having trouble  finding good sheet  music.  I'd preffer not to have vocals therefore the guitar woud have to "make up" for lack of vocals.  Any suggestions on what key  words I could google?  If anyone has any links to sites with such music that would be fantastic.
Thanks again.

Just a wild suggestion, but did you try Googling 'beatles +sheet +music'?

There are also a ton of books that are easy to find online (Beatles Music for Guitar; Piano; Flute; what have you).

I like her suggestions.  'In My Life' would be great, and of course, 'Revolution 9'.

Like mentioned above, definitly In My Life, And I Love Her, Here, There, and Everywhere, Something, and maybe I'll Follow the Sun or Here Comes the Sun. All My Loving is a good song too. And this isn't a Beatles song, but I think that Maybe I'm Amazed would be great.

Congratulations, by the way!

I expect we've missed the wedding by now. I suppose my invitation must have been lost in the post.

Though John wrote "I'm in love for the first time" ... must have broken Cynthia's heart.

Gotta agree. Not my favorite, but in a warped way I like it a lot. In any case, seems like it was made for the occasion!
