In Conversation with Mike McCartney - 23rd April
« on: April 07, 2010, 08:24:49 AM »

On April 23rd, Mike McCartney will be the next interviewee in Club Geek Chic's "In Conversation With..." series at the Liverpool Cathedral.

Mike will talk about his brief stint as a ladies hairdresser at Andre Bernard, his time as ‘Mike McGear’ in The Scaffold, the Merseybeat era and his photography, from snapping Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Beatles in the Cavern, to his amazing, spontaneous backstage shots at Live8 in 2005 and his latest 'Mike McCartney's North Highlands' book (with forewords by Billy Connolly and Prince Charles).

Mike will also discuss his passion for culture and the arts in Merseyside, in particular his support of and involvement in the 08 Capital of Culture bid and eventual celebrations.

As ever, the interview will be interspersed with live, acoustic versions of the interviewee’s five favourite songs, performed by established and emerging Liverpool artistes.  Audience members will also have the chance to take part in a Q&A section at the end of the event.

Tickets for 'In Conversation With...Mike McCartney' are £15 and can be purchased at www.cathedralshop.com or by calling the Liverpool Cathedral on 0151 702 7255.
