Funny that Paul tells us here that he had a choice of studio's around the world: Rio, China, Lagos. I seem to remember a quote in which he says that he was in a hurry and wanted EMI to supply a studio as fast as they could. Paul had no intention to go to Africa or anywhere else, but the only available studio at the moment was in Lagos. And so they went.
