Spirit - 1984

David Bowie - 1984

I'll go with Spirit because it scared me less! Boy, I'm glad 1984 didn't turn out as bad as people thought it might.

The Beach Boys vs Moody Mr. Morrison and Them:

The Beach Boys - Here Comes the Night

Here Comes The Night - Them

I like both songs, but I choose the classic tune by Them.

The Who's "I'm Free" vs. The Rolling Stones' "Eight Days A Week"... ;)

The Who - I'm Free

Rolling Stones - I'm Free

This is an easy one for me. I really love The Who's version. In fact I was just listening to it earlier. But "Eight Days a Week" is a good song too.  :)

Now...two songs so different its hard to believe they have the same name:

Neil Sedaka - Stairway to Heaven (1960)

or

Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven (Studio Version)

 ;D

Not a fan of Led Zeppelin and all their pompous music. Besides, "Stairway To Heaven" is a rip off of Spirit's "Taurus". Neil Sedaka's song is nice and has the simplicity of the early days, I choose his tune.

Lovin' Spoonful vs. Ringo:

Six O' Clock - Lovin' Spoonful

Six O`Clock - Ringo Starr
