Paul McCartney Really Is Dead
« on: June 25, 2011, 05:53:44 PM »

From reading the name of the topic you probably think I'm one of those loons who actually believes he's dead. Don't worry, I'm not.  :) There's a fairly new movie called "Paul McCartney Really Is Dead, the Last Testament of George Harrison" or something. Just wondering if anyone has seen this. My brother got it a few weeks ago and wanted me to watch it with him, so I did just for a laugh, and I certainly got one! All I gotta say is that it's a good thing I watched it with him or else he would've believed it. He's so gullible. But I was there to tell him "Yeah, they got that part completely wrong" etc. So has anyone else seen or heard of it? It's so ridiculous that it's entertaining.

It is said that George Harrison revealed the mystery of the PID myth just before he died. It's just another hoax. By the way, I bumped into a complete Paul Is Dead forum the other day. It was pretty disturbing to read.

I heard a portion of this a year or so ago. It is obvious it isn't even George's voice.

I started watching it, like you said, for a laugh but soon turned it off. It might have been funny to me if I watched it with someone else, I dunno. Glad you set your brother straight!

It's hilarious that people think that the hoax is real.

Exactly. As soon as "George" started talking, I'm like "Yeah, that's not him." I knew it wouldn't sound like him. I've heard guys in tribute bands do way better. Plus, the recording wasn't crackly or anything, and he sounded like he was just sitting there reading a script without any "Ummms" in there or anything, haha. My brother thought it sounded like him, and I'm like "Trust me, I'm a fan, I know it's not him."

I started watching it, like you said, for a laugh but soon turned it off. It might have been funny to me if I watched it with someone else, I dunno. Glad you set your brother straight!

Yeah, by the end he was still saying "What if?", but he also said the whole movie was silly. I'm like "Yeah, ya think?" I'm so glad I was there to watch it with him, or else he would've came down to my house (he lives right up the street from me and my parents) the next morning saying "You're not gonna believe this, you have to see this movie, I guarantee Paul McCartney is dead, blah, blah, blah." Lol.

The only two things in the movie I don't understand is why they showed video footage of the real George, and he clearly said the name "Faul" (According to the movie, this is what the Beatles referred to the replacement Paul as, meaning "False Paul"). I guess they just somehow manipulated the footage. And I'm wondering who the guy is in the photo near the lower left hand corner of the White Album poster. He has glasses and a small mustache with combed-back hair. To me it looks like Paul goofing around or something, but the movie says it's "Faul". I don't think it's "Faul" of course, I'm just wondering if that is Paul, and if it is than it's a funny pic.

If Paul really died in 1966, then probably the new Paul was better than him!! ;D

I went out of town to visit some friends this last weekend. They had watched this on NetFlix and then Saturday night were channel surfing and came across this. The conversation started out, (as they know I am a Beatles fan), "Do you know about the conspiracy? Are you sure you want to watch this, you might not be able to sleep after watching this?" I was cracking up, with laughter at this whole thing. There are some doozy of arguments out there.

I almost can't even believe I was able to sit through the whole thing. Rita= Heather Mills... That is the biggest kick. John Lennon was murdered and George's attack were MI5 attacks because they were exposing the "Paul is dead... to avoid girls committing suicide." This video is so stupid. Why has Ringo not been involved? (and thank goodness!)

According to this nonsense, Rubber Soul and Yesterday And Today had clues... and yet the accident didn't happen until 1966. The aforementioned albums came out in 1965. There is a timeline problem here.

I am not sure if The Beatles played on any of it or not. They are/were pranksters and might have inserted something, just for a joke. I lean towards thinking that it is all coincidence though.

As far as backwards masking goes, I don't buy into that either. You can play any vocal record backwards and hear stuff. I am sure if I played all of Frank Sinatra's records backwards, I could concoct a rumor that Dean Martin had killed Frank in 1935 and that Sammy Davis Jr. was really singing on all of Frank's records, and there was a look-alike for when Frank was on stage, and he was miming to a tape.

It is ridiculous. It was a good laugh, and then I had to laugh even more when my friends thought there was some substance to it. (They don't think Paul is dead, they just think that the clues were intentional.)

Haven't you heard?
"...Meanwhile, deep in the wilderness, all alone, Ringo and Paul we're relaxing by the campfire, staring into the infinity of space in the night sky. In a moment, but for Ringo felt like eternity, the conversation stopped. He saw deep into the Paul's eyes, beyond his eyes, into his soul. In this moment of silence Ringo feintly whispered, "I wanna be your man...". Paul was like "WHAT?!?!" and Ringo was like "NUTTIN" The two didn't talk for the rest of the night, and Ringo was forced to sleep outside of the tent. The morning began with an extremely akward breakfast, but Ringo was determined to get what he wanted. He cried "Don't pass me by..." Paul glared into his eyes, and Ringo wondered, hoped, that Paul was seeing what he saw the night before. Tears welled up in his eyes, preparing for a beatiful embrace, then, just then Paul stood up, and said "F**K THIS" He drove off in his Yellow Submarine and crashed into the sun. Paul was later replaced by a man named Billy Shears and his accident was covered up by a covered-up car accident. This is the real story of the death of Paul McCartney. Further evidence is in Revolution 9: when played in reverse you will hear Ringo say "Turn me on dead man." Ringo still grieves to this day, this is evident in his solo songs "Mystery of the Night" and "Forever Without You"..."

Thank you for mentioning the Heather Mills thing! How could I forget that? Wow, that was definitely the looniest part, lol. The movie made a huge mistake by putting in WAY too many weird things.

And yeah, it was crazy how they claimed those albums had clues. Can't believe they got the timeline completely wrong for that. I think they also messed up on the Let It Be and Abbey Road era. Abbey Road was the last album to be recorded, but they got that mixed up.

I'm thinking that the makers of this film don't even believe any of it. They probably are just poking fun at the whole hoax by seeming to perpetuate it.
