Beatles Cavern painting by Shannon will be on time despite tornado scare

New Jersey - The painting of the Beatles commissioned by the Cavern Club in Liverpool with Beatles artist, Shannon, will be done on schedule after all, despite a horrific tornado that threatened her ranch in New Jersey last Friday (July 29). “I will have the project ready in time for the 50th anniversary of the Cavern in Liverpool August 30,” wrote Shannon today in an email. We reported on this upcoming painting, entitled Toppermost of the Poppermost, July 21.Much havoc was caused by the unexpected and highly damaging tornado that devastated her NJ ranch called “Shannondoah”. Hearing ominous thunder in the distance with some light rain, she wasn't concerned at first, until sudden high winds prompted her to hurriedly begin bringing in her painting supplies and gear from the back porch. She had been working on her painting of George Harrison.
