Ringo Starr plans intense media blitz over next few days to promote new album

Ringo Starr, getting ready for the release of his new album "Ringo 2012" Jan. 31 in the U.S., will be all over TV and radio starting Sunday. Here's a rundown of where you can catch him. On Sunday, he'll be a guest on Chris Carter's "Breakfast With the Beatles" on KLOS-FM sometime between 11 a.m. and noon PT, host Chris Carter told us. The show will be streamed online on www.955klos.com. On Monday, Jan. 30, he'll be at the Troubadour (yes, the same club that was the site of John Lennon's infamous "Lost Weekend" incident) for a Town Hall interview by Russell Brand and selected fans. The radio event, sponsored by SiriusXM, will be moderated by record producer (and Ringo friend) Don Was.
