I’m doing research for a forthcoming documentary concerning the Beatles’ first concert at Shea Stadium on August 15, 1965. We’re looking for personal memorabilia from people who attended the event or were among the crowds that greeted the band at the airport and followed them on their New York itinerary: diaries or journals from that time, snapshots, home movies, tape recordings, etc. They don’t need to be “professional quality” -- the emphasis is really on material that gives an impression of what it was like to be there in that moment.
If you have such material and are interested in being involved in the project, please contact me at email@example.com
or through this forum.
