I always liked this song. The "See how they run" lyric might refer back to I Am the Walrus or it might not but I've never made the connection if so.  On the origional single Georges (+John) guitar work was much more pronounced but was mixed way back  on later releases. I always thought the guitar work gave the song it's power and was glad to hear it brought back up for the Cirque CD. As it should be!

I remember Paul describing the singing voice he used in Lady Madonna as his "Elvis voice" in 1968 when the song was released.  Disc jockeys would often repeat that comment when they played the record.

As TomMo mentioned, we didn't have the BBC recordings to hear Paul singing That's All Right at the time, but it's fun to compare Elvis and Paul's renditions today...

Maybe there was a sign of this voice in Like Dreamers Do from the Decca audition as well.
