Beatles 'Portrait' Album Fetches $22,268
This rare record album, 'The Beatles and Frank Ifield' fetched $22,268 in an eBay auction on July 23rd. Interestingly, the 1964 album, known by collectors as “the Portrait cover,” by Vee Jay Records (Vee Jay VJLPS-1085), was considered to be a flop at the time of its release.

New Beatles Documentary DVD Offers Seldom-Seen Footage
A documentary commemorating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles arrived on DVD this week.
The one-hour film, The Beatles: Their Golden Age, chronicles the group from the time Ringo Starr replaced original drummer Pete
Best in 1962 until the band's 1970 breakup. It features some rarely seen footage, according to producer Les Krantz, including John Lennon reading his poetry, Paul McCartney lecturing a reporter about revealing his LSD usage and George Harrison flirting with then-new wife Patty Boyd.

Micky Dolenz premieres new album with Beatles tributes on radio show
Micky Dolenz will have a new album out Sept. 25. The album, “Remember,” is named after a song by his close friend Harry Nilsson. Dolenz was featured the documentary “Who Is Harry Nilsson and Why Is Everybody Talking About Him? ” He discussed the new album, the Monkees, his relationship with the Beatles and more this past Sunday on “Chris Carter's Breakfast With the Beatles.”

Scarborough hosts Beatles festival
BEATLEMANIA hits Scarborough in September when the town hosts a Beatles festival to celebrate 50 years of the Fab Four’s music.

Beatles new iTunes release 'Tomorrow Never Knows' features most iconic songs
The Beatles have just released an iTunes digital exclusive compilation of songs that are considered “the most influential” from their career in one collection. Entitled “Tomorrow Never Knows,” there are 14 songs in the collection that span from 1964 - 1970. The promo film for “Hey Bulldog” is also available as a free stream or a download you can purchase.
