Goons
« on: December 07, 2012, 08:48:24 PM »

Of course John ( and prob Paul )  was a big Goons fan,
he was always doing funny voices...
I remember hearing  ... was it a Beatles Christmas fan record... a kind of floppy disc ?
it was like the Beatles doing a Goon show.
It was great and I kind of wish they would have done more of it...
( like a radio series on  radio 4  or Luxenburg or somewhere !)
Wonder if the  ... 30 min  ?   audio is podcast anywhere ?

I think all the Christmas fan club records were pretty goon-like! I remember the first time I heard them. The oldies station I listened to played them and I thought they were just amazing. I always wished I could hear them again and then came YouTube! They are all on there. Here's the first one, from 1963:
