I think this is a really nice tune. I've always had a lot of time for Paul Weller in the Jam, Style Council and solo.

I would say a lot of his stuff  sounds like it's another more familiar song. But as I haven't pinpointed that song for his stuff then I won't accuse him of borrowing.

This one struck me as just lacking a bit of spark here and there to turn it into a huge hit.

I rather liked it, although I've never thought Weller was anything special as a vocalist, and I vastly prefer his Jam material to anything I've heard from him since (same with Sting/Police in that regard)...

Good vibe though - it reminded me of early Uriah Heep, something like "Come Away Melinda"....

Its nice.  Reminded me of Dave Mason or Stephen Stills solo stuff.  Good song.
