Where the Mop-Top came from

Stuart sutcliffe came back to the band for a brief time in April 1961 and made a hair-raising contribution to the world.
His girlfriend, Astrid, had given him a mop-top cut called the "Julius Caesar" by locals--and within months, all The Beatles were sporting the same 'do. The Beatles new haircuts then became famous around the globe.

It has always been in contention as to who started it. The Beatles themselves always credited George, but STu did indeed go that way on purpose first, apparently.
