Led Zeppelin Question
« on: February 20, 2005, 07:04:58 PM »

Hey guys,
I have a Led Zeppelin Question

Did Jimmy Page have a song that he had Lead Vocals for, like he sang most of the song?

Just curious.

I don't think there is. He'd be having 15-minute solos and for him to do the lead vocals would be..too much Jimmy Page :)

I don't think Jimmy can sing. I've never even seen him do backing vocals. And I can say that I'm pretty sure that even though I don't know every Led Zeppelin song in existance, Jimmy NEVER sang lead on one of them. Plant was there one and only singer.

Page doesnt sing. Even his solo album 'Outrider' had other people doing the vocals so i'm pretty sure he never sang. (i've been known to be wrong though plenty of times)

Jimmy Page, as well as the others, sang back-up vocals on some of Zeppelin's earlier stuff... songs like Communication Breakdown, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You and Thank You, among others...

And Lennon - Robert Plant can really sing... If you deny his vocal ability, than you've probably only heard one Zeppelin song (probably Whole Lotta Love or one of those)... Most of the songs he sings in a lower voice than most of the radio songs... Not necessarily lower, but softer and not as shreiky... Listen to more of his later vocals and early ballads and you'll hear... He had a great voice, even when he was shreiking...
