Live Peace In Toronto is a great video showcasing John at one of his best, ballsy, blistering live performances back in 69 in the first incarnation of the Plastic Ono Band with Eric Clapton, Klaus Voorman & Alan White.  If you have listened to the classic rock live album of the same name where this video prformance is taken from you know he kicks ass much more so than at the height of Beatlemania. I have to admit if you don't listen to Yoko's songs near the end the album & the video will rock your ass off with great live versions of Blue Suede Shoes, Yer Blues, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Money & Give Peace A Chance.  BTW, I saw the video on bootleg about 15 years ago & heard the album for the first time back in 81.

do you know that little richard,jerry lee lewis and gene vincent preformed at the toronto peacefest as well?john was just one of the attractions.
if he is the only one filmed it is a damn shame.....

I have heard there is a documentary of the Toronto rock festival back in 69 with Chuck Berry, Little Richard & Gene Vincent along with John's performance but I have never seen it.

Yeah, the other acts are better than Lennon, sadly.
I still love his set, but its that god awful Avante Garde Japanese woman that annoys me.
Destroys Yer Blues with her screaming etc....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so annoying.

During Plastic Ono's performance of Money, you can see Allen Klien at the side..scary.
Yoko destroys Yer Blues..

I know this is a pipe dream, but I wish someone could remaster all that stuff without Yoko's 'vocals'. "Baby Please Don't Go" from 'Live Jam' would be totally killer without her cauterwaling, same goes for the 'Live Peace In Toronto'. Keep her in the bag and turn off the damn mike. Oh well, too late.
