No, I'm living in an apartment. I stupidly thought it would be a good idea to board with five other girls.

I see. IMO, rooming with girls = Drama time (and I know I'm not innocent of this either). My former female roomies were all so different from me, and that made things really hard. I recall one was a Bjork fan and she would play her music out loud...no offense to Bjork fans but I just hated it. I have another particularly crazy story about her but I can't share it on a public board.

10 years ago my parents got divorced. A couple of months after, my mom got into a relationship with a guy who at the time was going through his own marriage problems. He was thinking about leaving his wife for my mom. Well the guy ended up getting back with his wife.

Flash forward to today, Kathy (the wife) works at the bank that I go to (there's always awkward tension there, I never go to her for help I always go to somebody else) and I went in there today and she was working, along with another lady. The other lady helped me and as I was standing there waiting, this guy comes in and Kathy helped him. As I was standing next to the guy, he asked me if I was just waiting and I said yes, then he turned to Kathy and asked if I was one of her kids.

Awkward.

I thought to myself oh man this guy has NO idea..and I just said all awkwardly uh...no...

So yeah that was the most awkward moment of my life.

I wonder why the guy had to ask that!! Ouch, though...  :-[ I would've been embarrassed too. I hate having weird encounters from the past like that.

You know how I mentioned my bus and how the bus driver plays the mainstream music radio station, which included the song 'fireflies'? They play that song too....*barrrffff* ha2ha (now I play 'tomorrow never knows' on my ipod to drown out crappy songs! The bass makes it dissapear, lol)

Yes, I have, Emmi.
Music is like candy; you throw away the rappers.

^^ Compared to some of the crap out there, this song isn't too terrible It's just not as fabulous as everyone makes it out to be. I mean it's a 4 note pop song people!!! And the verses are crap, but the chorus is better. But the rapping in it sucks. But Fireflies is terrible! That singers nasaly voice gets to me :P And I am sorry to say Owl City comes from a town in Minnesota. Bob Dylan is a 500 time better MN citizen  :D

OMG, no!
I can't believe that singer thinks he sounds even remotley masculine by writing lyrics like that!
And yes, I agree that Bob is extremely cool.  8)

Gotta admit that I love that Owl City song...

Mairi

It's an alright song, but what I really like is the band name, Owl City- too cool.
I am posting on an internet forum, therefore my opinion is fact.
